WAVE (Worldwide Alternatives to ViolencE) was founded in April 1996 as a non-profit, international, grass-roots organisation. Through the success of its work and growth, the Trustees recognised the need to form a charity in October 1999; an organisation was incorporated, as a company limited by guarantee with charitable objects, known as WAVE Trust.
WAVE Trust is a registered, international charity, registration number 1080189. It is also registered as a charity in England and Wales, number 3863110
