Amanda is Director of The Stefanou Foundation, a national charity based in Hertfordshire that aims to protect vulnerable infants and old people. The charity is currently developing an infant parenting and domestic abuse programme for mothers and fathers to overcome the cycle and impact of domestic abuse and give their babies the best start in life.
Amanda’s career has focused on bringing together the public, private and voluntary sectors to improve public services and strengthen local communities.
Her previous positions include Head of Modernising Government at the CBI, Public Affairs Director at Accord plc and Director of ERSA, the welfare-to-work trade association.
She is a Board member of the New Local Government Network, a Governor at St Matthew’s Church of England Primary School, Ponders End and, from April 2015, a Lay Guardian of the Shrine of our Lady of Walsingham.
