Early years prevention has the support of the three main UK political parties, thanks in part to our research and advocacy.
All Party Parliamentary Group for Conception to Age 2 – The First 1001 Days
We helped to found the APPG for Conception to Age 2 – The First 1001 Days and are now secretariat for the group. This group works as a locus for new research and policy thinking to inform future early years policy for all political parties. Part of our work jointly with this group, has been to create a manifesto for The 1001 Critical Days which is designed to take the case for primary prevention to MPs.
Early Intervention: Good Parents, Great Kids, Better Citizens
Working with the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, the Rt. Hon. Iain Duncan Smith MP, The Centre for Social Justice, Labour MP Graham Allen and The Smith Institute, and drawing on our previous 12 years work, we drafted the report Early Intervention: Good Parents, Great Kids, Better Citizens. This report later led to the Early Intervention Reports, authored by Graham Allen MP and presented to the Coalition Government and to which we contributed as adviser.
