David Stead David joined the Board as trustee in September 2015. He is the Executive Director of Philanthropy and Development at the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). David joined CAF at the end of 2013 to lead the teams working with major individual, family and corporate donors on the planning and delivery of their philanthropic activities globally. New donations out to charities from these areas grew to over £350m in the year 2014/15, with total donations through CAF reaching nearly £480m. David also has responsibility for the charity advisory, grant-making and legacy teams. Previously David held positions as CEO and Commercial/BD Director in top professional and financial services firms, driving market and client development internationally. David’s special interests include building collaborative solutions for greater social impact, a portfolio approach to social investment, and championing a commercial but social mission-led approach at CAF. David holds an MBA from IESE and a BSc (Hons) from Cass Business School. David is married to Louise, a Nursing Director, and has three daughters.
