All Party Parliamentary Group for Prevention of Adverse Childhood Experiences WAVE Trust is secretariat to the All Party Parliamentary Group for Prevention of Adverse Childhood Experiences (APPG for Prevention of ACEs). The APPG for Prevention of ACEs brings together MPs and members of the House of Lords who are committed to creating practical action, both inside and outside Parliament, to identify and promote policies for the prevention of adverse childhood experiences. The APPG is co-chaired by Dr Alex Burghart MP and Dr Paul Williams MP. A full list of the officers of the APPG is available here: https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmallparty/181010/adverse-childhood-experiences.htm Meetings of the APPG The APPG holds regular meetings to hear and act on expert evidence on issues relating to the prevention of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). For information on ACEs and why they matter, visit ‘What are adverse childhood experiences (ACEs)?’. While the APPG is primarily for MPs and Peers to create practical action to identify and promote policies for the prevention of adverse childhood experiences, there are sometimes limited places for non-MPs to attend. The APPG may invite expert third parties to join them and advise on relevant subjects of interest.
