As of 6^th June, WAVE Trust is delighted to strengthen its management team by welcoming Geoffrey Dennis as our new CEO.

With 30 years in senior and CEO roles, including International Director of The British Red Cross, Country Director for the Worldwide Red Cross Federation in North Korea, and later overall Regional Director for the whole of South Asia, CEO of CARE International UK including running its EU office, and CEO of The Royal National Children’s Foundation, Geoffrey brings enormous breadth and depth of experience to his new role.

Geoffrey is pleased to be joining a charity which he describes as "amazing", and states he is incredibly impressed with the impact of WAVE Trust to date and its huge potential to transform the lives of children in the UK and across the globe.

Geoffrey holds The Badge of Honour for Distinguished Service by The International Red Cross.

Former CEO George Hosking OBE will continue to manage those projects which currently fall under his responsibility, and will hold the position of Scotland, Operations and Research Director.

"Last year I told our Trustees that, while I will remain active inside WAVE, after 25 years I wished to step down as CEO", said George Hosking. "I am delighted we have found someone as experienced as Geoffrey to lead us.

"Anthoulla* and I will continue our training, consultancy, campaigning and research work in partnership with Geoffrey.’
