If you would like to find out more about WAVE Trust's trauma-informed training and consultancy, click here.

WAVE Trust are delighted to announce our recent success in securing two major trauma-informed training contracts in recent months, both in Hampshire and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Both contracts will see us training thousands of frontline and managerial staff spanning a wide range of sectors, including early years, GPs, public health, Youth Offending Teams, probation, social services and more.

Work in Hampshire has already begun, with hundreds of staff signing up for scheduled sessions between September and December 2021. Many sessions have already been fully booked or are near this point. Work in Tower Hamlets will begin very soon.

'Positive sign'

Trauma-informed Communities Project Manager Aidan Phillips said these programmes show a promising commitment from both local authorities to embed trauma-informed practice across frontline services.

"The level of investment both areas are seeking to put into these programmes - either through their own finances and/or through the time their staff are putting into them - is a positive sign for anyone who wants to see trauma-informed practice spread far and wide across the UK.

"We are delighted to be working with both Hampshire and Tower Hamlets on these projects and look forward to seeing the effects of our training and support over time."
