This report summarises the findings and recommendations of a London Conference on reducing serious youth violence hosted by WAVE Trust In November 2007.

In November 2007 WAVE Trust hosted a Conference on reducing serious youth violence in London, funded by the Metropolitan Police, MPA, Safer London Foundation and Pillars of Parenting. Nearly 300 people attended including senior police officers, school head teachers, and representatives of most of the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships of the 33 London boroughs.

The purpose of the conference was 'To work together to identify the key actions needed to lead to a significant reduction in levels of serious youth violence in London '.

The commitment to achieving such a reduction is core to the report which was written by Ita Walsh, one of our Trustees, summarising the findings and recommendations of the conference.
